Torcetti

Ingredients

  • ½ lb butter, softened
  • 1 package yeast
  • ¾ cup warm water (or more, if needed)
  • 3 cups sifted flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar

Directions

In the bowl of an electric mixture dissolve yeast in water. Add butter and flour. Mix well until dough is formed. Form into a log and wrap in waxed paper, refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Cut dough into slices then into strips. Roll one strip at a time in granulated sugar, shape like a small horse shoe. Place on parchment lined cookie sheet. Bake at 400 for 15 to 20 minute, or until just lightly browned.
