Ingredients

  • 6 bacon slices
  • 1 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 1/4 cup bottled BBQ sauce
  • 3/4 cup bottled beer
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 3 tbsp. Dijon mustard
  • 3 tbsp. brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 4 to 6 tsp minced chipotle chilies in adobo sauce
  • 6 - 15 oz cans Great Northern beans, drained and rinsed

Directions

Preheat oven to 350. Cook bacon in large skillet until crisp. Transfer to paper towel lined plate to drain. Transfer 2 1/2 tbsp. bacon drippings from skillet to large bowl. Finely chop bacon and add to bowl. Add onion and next 7 ingredients to bowl and stir to blend. Add chipotle chilies and beans. Transfer to a 9x13 glass baking dish. Bake uncovered until liquid bubbles - about 1 hour.
