Pork Tenderloin with Jezebel Sauce

Wine Pairing

Ingenious, 2012

  • ½ cup light soy sauce
  • 2 tbl brown sugar
  • 2 green onion, chopped
  • 2 tbl dry sherry
  • 2 pork tenderloins (they usually come two to a pack)
  • Jezebel Sauce:
  • 2/3cup pineapple apricot preserves
  • 1/3 cup apple jelly
  • 2 tbl prepared horseradish
  • 1 tbl minced fresh ginger

Combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sherry and green onions in a gallon size zip lock baggie. Add pork tenderloins. Let marinate at least 20 minutes or overnight.
To make jezebel sauce: put jelly and preserves in a small bowl and microwave for 1 minute or so until melted. Add remaining ingredients.
Remove pork from marinade and discard marinade. Grill pork over medium high heat (about 350) for about 20 minutes. Baste with ½ cup of jezebel sauce and turn pork over once during cooking. Or until a probe inserted comes out to 155. Alternatively, you can pop in a 350 preheated oven and cook for the same amount of time. Let meat rest for about 10 minutes. Then slice and serve with jezebel sauce on the side.
